Travelling to Karlstad

You can travel to Karlstad by air from Stockholm. Please note that the Copenhagen - Karlstad route has been cancelled. But you can easily access Karlstad on train and bus from Oslo, Göteborg and Stockholm. For you driving, Karlstad is located along E18 between Oslo and Stockholm. Getting to Karlstad University

Karlstad University is located on a Campus a few kilometers east of the city centre. It is easy to reach Campus by city buses. A direct bus No 1 travels between the Main square and Campus frequently. Also bus No 2 takes you to the university. For information on city buses (in Swedish) click on the link below:

You can easily reach the university by car. Follow the signs to Kronoparken/Universitetet from E18. There are many parking opportunities in direct access to the University. Parking is subject to a charge.

Hotels and Accomodation

When you register to the conference, you have the opportunity to chose accomodation among pre-boked hotels in several prize ranges. There is also a hostel in the selection of pre-boked accomodation. Be aware that popular alternatives may quickly become fully booked. You are of course welcome to arrange your own accomodation. Please consult with your selected accomodation for information on getting there and check in procedures. Also note that hotel accounts are to be settled directly with the hotels, which honour all major credit cards.
